Methodist Church Benelux
The Methodist Church Benelux is part of Methodist Church Ghana which belongs to the World Wide Methodist family which grew out of the fruits of the great evangelistic work of John Wesley in the 18th Century in England.
OUR POSITION IN THE BODY OF CHRIST
The Methodist Church Ghana, claims and cherishes its place in the Holy Universal Church which is the body of Christ. The Church believes that in the providence of God, Methodism was raised to spread scriptural holiness. The phrase ‘scriptural holiness’ brings into sharp focus the strict reliance on the Bible for direction. In this regard we consider the Bible to be of utmost importance in worship and true Christian living.
Brief History of the MYF1
In 1998, a year after the establishment of the Wesley Methodist Church, Amsterdam, sister Grace Ening, an executive of the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF) in the Northern region of Ghana, came to visit the Wesley Methodist Church, Amsterdam Society. During her visit she suggested that it would be a good idea to start a fellowship for the Youth. Those interested met with her and she explained and discussed with them a few things concerning a Youth Fellowship.
